How Do I Identify a Potential Researcher to Work With?

As a company, looking for a potential University research partner, you know the general area of research and/or expertise you require. There are three ways to identify a potential research collaborator:

  • Determine the faculty and department in which the research would likely take place. You can review the list of Faculties and Departments. Each professor will have a brief description of their research interests on the departmental web page; or
  • Use the University of Ottawa’s Experts On Call database to select potential research partners; or
  • Contact TTBE with your request for expertise and we will investigate potential partners on your behalf.

Once a potential researcher is identified, TTBE will work with you and the researcher regarding the feasibility of the project in that researchers’ portfolio (remember most researchers have existing research, teaching and/or clinical commitments, so that even with a match of interests we may not be able to establish a project).
